How to choose between the services
If you are organising an event, the starting point is the expected number of participants and the nature of the programme. At smaller indoor events a foot patrol is often enough: medical staff with an emergency bag, no ambulance. Where transport may be needed, or the headcount is higher, we recommend a mobile patrol with a basic or an advanced life support ambulance.
If you need a patient transported, the question is the level of supervision required during the journey: simple transport, supervised transport, or transport that calls for emergency standby with an advanced life support unit.

How much does medical cover for an event cost?
The price depends on the level of cover (foot patrol, basic ambulance or advanced life support unit), the make-up of the crew, the venue and how long cover is needed. We therefore do not work from a price list but issue a written quote: send us the date, the venue and the expected headcount, and we will come back to you.
When is medical cover mandatory at an event?
In Hungary medical cover at events is subject to legal requirements, and the level needed is determined mainly by the expected number of participants and the nature of the event. The licensing authority may ask the organiser to prove that cover is in place.
If you are not sure what applies to your event, call us: once we know the venue and the headcount we will tell you what level we recommend and issue a written quote for it. Dealing with the authority remains the organiser’s task, but we help with the documents.
How many crew does my event need?
The venue matters as much as the headcount: a festival site of several hectares needs a larger crew than an event with the same number of guests held in an enclosed space. Instead of a rule of thumb we ask a few questions — headcount, area, programme, duration, night programme — and make a recommendation from those.
How far in advance should the request be made?
As soon as you have the date and the venue. During the summer festival season, on long weekends and around public holidays units fill up quickly, so it is worth agreeing weeks ahead. We also take short-notice enquiries — call us and we will tell you whether we can take it on.
What is the difference between the two ambulance levels?
The basic ambulance (mentőgépkocsi) typically works with a 2-person crew including a paramedic, carries basic life support equipment and is able to transport the patient.
The advanced life support unit (esetkocsi) is the higher level: typically a 3-person crew that includes a senior paramedic or a doctor, with equipment for advanced care. We recommend it at large or higher-risk events, and for patient transport that requires emergency standby.
Do you carry out international patient transport?
Yes. We take on transport to other countries as well as repatriation from abroad. For these we agree the route, the documents needed, the place of handover and the receiving institution in advance, so the family and the hospital both know what happens when.
