Running a first-aid post

A marked, equipped and staffed treatment point – at an event, on an industrial site or in a public building.

A first-aid post is a marked point where help can always be found: a visitor, an employee or a security guard does not start looking for it, they already know where to go. The logic is the same at a multi-day festival and inside a plant — only the furniture and the typical case differ.

What running it includes

We do not just provide staff: we equip the post and operate it for the whole time it is open.

  • Choosing the location with the organiser: where everyone will find it, and how a stretcher can reach it
  • Furnishing and equipment: examination couch, dressings and treatment supplies, AED, oxygen
  • Staff for the whole opening time, in shifts
  • Documentation: a written record of every case, and a summary for the client at the end
  • Restocking as we go, so nothing runs out on day two

At an event

At a large or multi-day event the post is the backbone of medical cover: the smaller cases come to it — dressings, minor injuries, feeling unwell, overheating — which leaves the mobile units for the serious cases and for being present in the crowd.

That is why it combines well with a foot patrol and a mobile patrol: the fixed point receives whoever walks in, the patrol goes out to the scene, and where transport is needed there is patient transport.

On industrial sites and in buildings

At a workplace the first-aid post is part of everyday operation: it is there, it is stocked, and someone knows how to use it. We take on setting the post up, equipping it, staffing it, and training your own first aiders — for a works event, for a shutdown, or as a standing arrangement.

Asking for a quote

Send us the venue, how long the post needs to be open, and the expected headcount. We will propose its size, equipment and crew, and put it in a written quote.

Ask for a quote for your event

Send us the date, the venue and the expected headcount – we will reply with a quote and a recommendation on the level of cover.
